Well, after the latest sim, all but 1 team has made it into the playoffs in the NHL. Washington and Buffalo are the only ones vying for that last spot in the East, but Washington's likely got it since Buffalo would need to win out and Washington to lose out for Buffalo to make it. For the AHL, all playoff teams have been decided. Match-ups just need to be determined in both leagues.

Anyone know the seedings? Was really hoping Sharks were gonna go on an amazing win streak cus I dont wanna play Stars or Oilers in the first round :\

in the east boston will play washington
winnipeg will finish 7th ottawa 6th and philly 5th
tampa bay and new jersey can finish 2nd 3rd or 4th and pittsburgh will be 3rd or 4th

in the west
colarado plays nashville
st louis plays san jose
chicago will finish 6th and LA 5th
dallas and edmonton are fighting it out for 3rd and 4th

Yeah. Further to that, Pittsburgh and Tampa play each other tomorrow or whenever Buckie sims, as well as New Jersey (vs DET), so either one of four things will happen (tiebreakers may not be correct, since STHS seems weird about them):

A) Pittsburgh beats Tampa in any fashion
New Jersey clinches 2nd, Pittsburgh 3rd, Tampa 4th

B) Tampa beats Pittsburgh in regulation, NJD loses in any way OR Tampa beats Pittsburgh in OT, New Jersey loses in OT
Tampa clinches 2nd, New Jersey 3rd, Pittsburgh 4th

C) Tampa beats Pittsburgh in any fashion, NJD wins
New Jersey clinches 2nd, Tampa 3rd, Pittsburgh 4th

D) Tampa beats Pittsburgh in OT/SO, NJD loses in regulation
Tampa clinches 2nd, Pittsburgh 3rd, New Jersey 4th

And then in the West, Oilers and Dallas still have 2 games each left, so anything can happen. But Oilers hold the tiebreaker between them, so possibly get ready to enjoy Dallas, Xzel.

Also, AHL wise, if you don't feel like looking at the standings, all but 5 match-ups have been determined. In the East, Albany/Norfolk are vying for the 7th/8th seed, with Albany needing a point to get 7th, but lose the tiebreaker to Norfolk in the event they lose. Albany plays Texas tomorrow, while Norfolk has played all 82 games.

With the West, it's a little more complicated. Peoria/Texas/Milwaukee are all vying for the 6th/7th/8th seeds. Each have 87 points, but when it comes to tiebreakers, Peoria > Texas > Milwaukee. Peoria plays Milwaukee tomorrow, meaning that game plays a key role in all of this. Since there's 12 possible combinations, it's harder to figure out who gets what seed. So we'll just see how things play out and who gets which seed.
