Good morning all,

Progress is good, and fun.

We have now eliminated the need for resign tables. You are now able to do resigns on the portal.

It's simple, yet not necessarily easy. When you go to the portal, go to your team finance page, of course once you have logged in. For players who have one year left on their deal, you are now able to negotiate a contract extension.

Simply click on the player, you will see a contract extension tab. click on it. The agent will inform you what they feel market value is . You then have several options, term, length, % of market value, no trade clauses. ( Take it from me, offer the NTC only if you are sure you won't want to trade the player. Getting said player to waive the NTC is possible, but damn unlikely)

Click offer, and the agent will let you know if you are successful or not. You have 3 tries only.

A lot of you are familiar with the process, but a good number of you are not. There are many around who can help.

All UFA is done via the Portal now as well. Gonna test out the new portal update.

So...no more RFA discounts - which really, really sucks. Really sucks.

IF we did move on this, this should be done with more notice (maybe a vote) and not in season. this really f*cks alot of peoples plans

i have a 3rd line AHL never will reach the NHL center whos asking for 1.5M, as an example

I've used this system before and found it adds a great element. I'm sure negotiated salaries could be adjusted to provide for RFA/seniors s discounts if applicable. I looked at what my pending ufas wanted and found they were more affordable than the chart reflected. And if you want to play hardball you can offer reduced salary to guys. Just be forewarned, I wouldn't play around with offers to guys you really want to sign. They get harder to sign if you've lowballed them.and blown 3 chances to sign thm and they will ask for a trade. Try it with a filler player to see before losing a star.
