PostSubject: Congratulations, and time line   Thu Sep 27, 2012 1:12 am

congratulations to all the participants in this year's playoffs. I am pleased to announce that my New Jersey Devils have won the Stanley Cup. Lunchpails for all!

Congratulations to the Philadelphia Phantoms on their Calder Cup victory.

It seems that competition has been really fierce, with a number of 7 game series, the finals in both leagues included.

Timeline of the offseason

All good things come to an end, and a whole new season is just around the corner, for which I am very excited!

Here's how I believe we will proceed.

First off, we will have an Activity Check. I do not expect any issues, but we need to ensure that as many teams are staffed as possible going into the offseason.

Rerates have been completed, and will be posted tomorrow night.

Entry Draft is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, October 2, commencing at 12 noon. I will post the entry draft rules in the next couple of days, or somone on the panel will.

We will be using the same salary chart for UFA/RFA's as we did last year, as there will be no change in salary cap for the upcoming season

Immediately following the conclusion of the entry draft, rosters will freeze so that we might conclude the team resigns of UFA/RFA .

To clarify, and to let the new guys know, each team will have the opportunity to resign their FA's, without fear of losing them to their competitors. If you intend to resign an FA, you must use the salary provided on the chart for said player. Term is your decision, to a max of 5 years.

Trades

Trades are authorized commencing immediately and sall remain open through to the end of the entry draft, to permit players to be moved who may require resigning.

There are no maximum number of resigns per team, but please be wary of the salary cap. It is each GM's responsiblility to be aware of their team's salaries, and compliance with the salary cap by start of preseason.

Once the entry draft is complete, we will go into roster lockdown while GM's figure out their shit.

Once this done, we will head directly into UFA season, always a treat!

Good hunting

UFAs are a little messed. Loui Eriksson was on contract for another 4 or 5 years at 4 - 5 million a season.
